Shabbatonim (Shabbat Retreats)

FJA sponsors Shabbatonim (Shabbat retreats) at various times throughout the year. Shabbatonim give students the opportunity to enjoy an enriching and fun religious experience with their teachers and friends. FJA encourages the attendance and participation of all students in these informal experiential Jewish educational opportunities.

Holidays and Commemorations

From Sukkot to Lag B'Omer, from Oneg Shabbat to Shabbatonim, the rhythm of the Jewish calendar comes to life at the Frankel Jewish Academy. Students and faculty come together to celebrate Jewish holidays. Through student-generated programming, we learn about and celebrate the Jewish calendar. Just a few of the school wide programs that have taken place at FJA include:
Additionally, we commemorate events that have occurred throughout Jewish history. On Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) and Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day for Israel's fallen soldiers), the student body learns about these important events and remembers those who have died for their religion and their country.
