Through a generous grant from the William Davidson Foundation, Frankel Jewish Academy built a state-of-the-art fabrication center and incorporate machinery that supports the instruction of core S.T.E.A.M. curricula: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. It was named the Genesis Lab because like in the book of Genesis, the lab is a new beginning and a place of creation for students, faculty and staff. The Genesis lab has quickly become one of the school’s most popular instructional elements — with both students and faculty. As the Genesis Lab becomes further integrated in each department’s programming, its uses will grow and cross-pollinate learning among varied subjects. The myriad uses the Genesis Lab offers our students for high-impact, tactile learning are limited only by the need for additional resources.
