Frankel Jewish Academy will continue to provide a healthy lunch program for our students with the partnership of Hillel Day School's dining program. The school year will be filled with high quality and nutritious lunches, made from fresh ingredients, offered every day for the entire student body. Each student on the meal plan will receive an entrée, side, soup and salad. Menus will rotate on a monthly basis and will include meat meals on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Prepared at Hillel Day School under the kosher supervision of the Metropolitan Kashruth Council, all items will be brought daily from Hillel and served at FJA, buffet-style. New menus will be released on the 15th of each month for the following month. The program offers students the opportunity to enjoy consistent, well-balanced and affordable meals every day. There are several payment options to meet various needs and budgets.
Menus are created to reflect the seasons. Parent and student suggestions are encouraged. The use of processed foods is limited and products containing artificial flavorings, M.S.G., preservatives and high levels of sodium are avoided. Minimal amounts of fat are used in food preparation and olive oil is used as it has a healthier blend of fatty acids than other cooking oils. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon special request. Hillel's kitchens are 100 percent nut-free.
Registration is simple and may be done online. Go to myschoolaccount.com and follow the instructions to sign up for annual, half-yearly or monthly plans. Should you have problems registering, please contact Hillel's point person, Robyn Presser at (248) 408-6572. You may also choose a declining balance option by funding your account that will be debited each time a meal is purchased. If you already have an account, simply log in, otherwise create a new account. You may also pay by check (made out to Hillel Day School), which can be delivered to the daily food server or Candace Fahr.
