Meet the Shinshinim – Ron and Itay!
Shalom! I’m Ron, your Shinshinit from Israel. Here are some facts and fun stuff about me: I love journalism, acting, motocross, entrepreneurship and learning new languages!
Back in Israel I was a cinema and fashion journalist at the “Frogi” newspaper, and also wrote for “Newrivista”, a fashion magazine. I love acting! Other than majoring in theatre at school, I was also featured in two short movies this year. I’m a motocross rider, and I love learning and speaking Spanish, meeting new people, and learning about different places and cultures. I also did the MEET program, which brings together Jewish and Arab youth to create a better future in the Middle East through entrepreneurship and social leadership. I can’t wait to meet and get to know know all of you more and I am sure that we will have the best time this year together. I’m so happy to be a part of FJA!
Hello everyone! My name is Itay. I am 18 years old from Israel and I’m one of the new Shinshin in Detroit! Right after graduating from school and before going into the army, I am taking a gap year here in Michigan. I am super excited to be here and I hope to see you all around the community. I love playing sports, hiking, and photography. I can’t wait to meet you all!
