Portrait of a Graduate
We developed a Portrait of a Graduate to capture consistent qualities that characterize FJA graduates. Here, you’ll see the statements that our students, faculty, and staff defined as the most significant. Each of these statements, carefully crafted through an iterative process which included student, faculty, and staff representatives, describes student outcomes, affects, and ambitions after four years within FJA. These statements are what make FJA unique; they blend Jewish values and career aspirations, focus on the independence and ability to advocate, which is a hallmark of the school, and demonstrate a broad view of our graduates and their successes in many arenas. As Michigan’s only Jewish community high school, FJA is integral because it provides a training ground for Jewish community leaders. They have the drive, the know-how, and the passion for Jewish life that will continue to help our community thrive for generations to come.
